Eran Vaisben, Ed.D. – Executive Director
Dr. Eran Vaisben earned his Master’s Degree in Jewish Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York and in 2014, and completed his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at The University of California, Davis. Between 2006 and 2018, he served as a school educator and administrator. He has lectured at numerous national conferences and has extensive knowledge and experience in the fields of educational leadership, student success, organizational change and Jewish learning. Eran is excited to serve as the Executive Director of Inland and Desert Hillel and bring new experiences to students at five different campuses. In his free time, Eran plays guitar and piano.
Eli Smeke – Program Associate (UC Riverside)
Eli Smeke is a senior student studying Economics. He wants to learn more about corporate social responsibility and pursue that field of management. He has always been part of Hillel even before transferring and is serving as the current Vice President of the student board. He hopes he can help more students to engage in Hillel activities and realize the importance of a social Jewish life on campus. He enjoys gaming either offline or online; playing board or card games and video games with friends and family.
Andrew Isaac – Engagement Associate (University of Redlands)
Andrew is the president of Hillel on the University of Redlands campus this upcoming year. In high school, he was president of the Jewish Student Union, where we had biweekly meetings to educate Jewish youth. Along with being president of JSU, he held a position on the City Chapter board of NCSY, as a public school ambassador. He has been a part of Hillel for the past three years and has had board positions every year. Two years ago he became Shabbat chair and organized Shabbat events, following that he became Vice-President. Andrew is a part of Greek life and also on the Swim and Dive team. In his free time, he enjoys surfing as well as snowboarding.
