Hillel Program Associate
A great opportunity to make a difference and impact the experience of many students’ campus life.
Hours: Up to 12 hours per week.
Starting in March 2026.
Pay: $22 per hour.
Hours will be reported through Paycor online HR platform.
Main responsibilities:
1. Supervise UCR Hillel office and center at Costo Hall during mutually agreed hours with the Executive Director.
2. Meet with the Executive Director on a weekly basis to discuss programming and logistics.
3. Meet with UCR administration as needed in order to coordinate programs.
4. Meet with potential donors (if necessary) and help with fundraising efforts.
5. Assist promoting, preparing and implementing UCR and Redlands Hillel events and programs.
6. Attend UCR Hillel student board meetings.
7. Knowledge of Hillel’s mission and programs and Jewish traditions is essential.
8. Provide support during events to ensure smooth operation.
This position is open for junior/senior undergraduate students, graduate students and post-graduates.

Hillel Engagement Associate
Hours: Up to 12 hours per week.

The Engagement Associate will support Hillel's mission by fostering meaningful connections with students, faculty, and other stakeholders. The role is integral to driving student involvement, organizing events, managing communications, and enhancing the overall experience of members and attendees. This part-time position offers flexible hours, making it an excellent opportunity for students who are passionate about community building and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Member Engagement & Outreach
Act as the primary point of contact for Hillel students and prospective students.
Develop strategies to engage with a diverse student body and encourage participation in the Hillel’s activities.
Organize recruitment campaigns, including tabling and social media promotion.
Event Planning & Support
Assist in planning and executing Hillel events, programs, and initiatives that align with the Hillel’s mission.
Provide support during events to ensure smooth operation.
Communications & Social Media Management
Create and post engaging content across social media platforms and email newsletters.
Monitor and respond to inquiries on social media and other communication channels in a timely manner.
Assist in creating promotional materials, flyers, and digital content for upcoming events and programs.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain relationships with students, faculty, and other student organizations.
Attend meetings with Hillel team and student board to provide updates on engagement efforts and share feedback from members.
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate membership and attendance records.
Manage event sign-ups, RSVPs, and other related databases.
Prepare reports on engagement metrics and provide insights for future improvements.
Qualifications
Current student at UCR.
Understand Hillel’s goals and mission.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with event planning and/or social media management.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Creative thinker with a passion for community engagement and student involvement.
